Whatsapp, the popular messaging service has again met with some issue after the massive shutdown on New Year's eve. But this time the issue is so different as whatsapp says that the app has become obsolete and can't be used until the app is updated.
But the biggest joke in this issue is that there is no update available for whatsapp on the Google Play Store. So users also tried uninstalling and reinstalling the app. This did solve this issue for some users like me but didn't solve it for many. Twitter became viral about this issue as every user who was facing this issue started posting about it on Twitter.
The problem was mostly found on Xiaomi devices. This is the second issue faced by many of the Xiaomi users after the mismatched contacts bug.
Whatsapp has also released a statement regarding this issue.
"On background, this is an issue that's being fixed. It was a problem with how our app is distributed , which is not under our control."
This statement doesn't address the problem faced by the users. Hope a fix will be released soon.
