Picture in Picture (PiP) mode has become a very useful feature ever since its debut. But sadly this was available only on mobile devices... until now. Yes, now you can get the infamous Picture in Picture mode on your desktops and laptops with the help of Google Chrome.
So without any adieu let's proceed on getting our hands on it. Do follow the below steps carefully.
NOTE: This feature is experimental and works only on the desktop version of Google Chrome only.
Step 1: Make sure that you have the latest version of Google Chrome installed on your desktop. Make sure that you are running version 68 or above. You should be running Google Chrome Canary and not the normal version. You can download this from Google officially. Here's the link to download it if you are lazy to search for it.
Windows Mac OS
In case if you don't know how to check whether you are on the latest version or not here's how you can.
Then navigate to Help -> About Chrome.
As simple as that.
Step 2: Now type the following in the Address bar and enable the following flags
Step 3: Now click on relaunch now and chrome will restart.

Step 4: Now download this Extension for Picture in Picture mode to work.
Step 5: Now type chrome://extensions in the Address Bar.
Step 6: Enable Developer mode and click on Load Unpacked
Step 7: Now locate the src folder in the place where you've extracted the file.
Step 8: Now the Picture in Picture Extension is now enabled.
You can now head on to any YouTube video and click on Picture in Picture extension to enjoy using this mode.
