Reliance Jio Prime Membership to get extended

It's been an year since Relaince Jio has announced its Prime Membership. It was launched on April 1,2017 and was made available for the users for an entire year by enrolling into the plan and paying ₹99. So this plan was supposedly to be expiring on  March 31,2018 but Reliance has come up with a surprise for all its users.

Jio has announced that existing prime users can get their prime membership extended for another year for free. Jio has also announced that this can't be accessed after April 1st as this is a limited period offer. But the good news is that non-Jio prime users can also now enroll into Jio Prime by paying a membership fee of ₹99 which is valid for an year. 

Steps to extend Jio Prime membership

NOTE: THIS IS ONLY FOR MEMBERS WHO HAVE ALREADY ENROLLED FOR PRIME MEMBERSHIP.

1. Go to MyJio app.
2. You will see a banner saying to get Prime Membership for free. Click on it and you'll be redirected to another page.

3. Express your views to get Prime membership  and your request will be processed.

That's it. Now enjoy Prime Membership for another year free of cost.

        Imagine wearing a helmet that keeps your head cool as such as a air conditioner.It's Jarsh an acronym- Just Another Rather Safe Helmet.This idea was rolled out by Kausthub Kaundinya, Sreekanth Kommula and Anand Kumar.

        There are two variants of this helmet based on their battery life. The one with a two-hour battery life costs Rs5,000 and the other with a eight-hour battery life costs Rs5,500.Besides thermal protection it also promises eye and impact protection.

        Information will be let out in the near future regarding the commercial production and sales.

Xiaomi's entry into the Gaming Laptop industry

Xiaomi has given a surprise to its fans by launching the new Mi Gaming Laptop on the recent Mi Mix 2S launch event. This has a design which looks nothing like that of a gaming laptop. However, to get the attention of the gamers out there, it features a backlit keyboard with 4 customizable zones with support upto 16 million colours.

Design

This laptop has an extremely simple design. It has no logo on it and the chassis of the laptop lights p which makes almost everyone go WOW! This laptop is just 20.9 mm thick and sports a 15.6 inch display with narrow bezels.

Features and Specs

This laptop is powered by a 7th Gen Intel Core i7 Processor. It also has an Nvidia GTX 10 series graphics card. The company claims that it features a Dolby Atmos certified Hi-Res Audio. The company also boasts about its high power cooling system with a dedicated hotkey for turbo cooling.with a dedicated hotkey for it.

This laptop also has 5 programmable macro keys which are totally customizable. Xiaomi has demonstrated a fast-food delivery option using the above mentioned macro keys. This is handy if the gamer is unable to find time to eat. Funny one though.

This so called gaming laptop will be available in 2 variants where the cheaper one will be featuring a Core i5 7300HQ processor with a GTX 1050 Ti GPU, 8GB RAM and a 128GB SSD.The another variant will  be featuring a Core i7 7700HQ processor, a GTX 1060 GPU, 16GB RAM and a 256 GB SSD. Both the variants will be included with a 1TB HDD for storage purposes.

This laptop will be going on sale from April 13 in China where the low end variant is priced at 5999 RMB (Approx. Rs. 60,000) and the high end variant is priced at 8999 RMB(Approx. Rs. 90,000).

World's smallest computer unveiled

Have you ever imagined a computer that's smaller than a grain of salt? Well IBM has made it possible. The details about this super small computer is very less but we'll be sharing all the information as much as we know.

This computer is 1mm x 1mm in size and apparently costs less than 10 cents ~= Rs.7.  which is surprisingly cheap. Specs wise this computer has the power of an x86 chip. This computer has a processor which has hundreds of transistors, SRAM memory, a photo-voltaic cell for power and a photo-detector for communications purposes. Sweet isn't it? 

IBM's main purpose behind this chip is to enter the blockchain buzz. While many other details about this computer is still unknown here's a small video about this computer and its looks.

          

Airtel to offer 30 GB free data to all users

        Airtel recently launched a VoLTE beta programme in selective states in India.It has simultaneously invited the Airtel users to check VoLTE and it is offering 30GB data.

        The 30 GB Data is divided into 3 parts.The first 10GB data is for downloading and then enabling VoLTE switch,the next 10GB data is for providing feedback after the fourth week.The other 10 GB is provided on providing feedback after the eighth week. Airtel has also said that the users will be facing network problems.They are requested to provide feedback on a regular basis.

Whatsapp increases the "Delete for Everyone" deadline

Popular messaging app Whatsapp has increased the time to delete the messages sent by us to another person. This feature got a huge response and was used very much by everyone. This was a boon for everyone. At first, this feature can be used only for 7 minutes only but now this deadline has been extended.

With the new update of this app, the deadline to delete the sent messages has been extended up to 1 hour 8 minutes 16 seconds. This new update was found in Android in the beta version of the app and was later rolled out to iOS users as well.

Face unlock for Redmi Note 4

Face Unlock, the trending feature which is found in almost all the flagship smartphones like the iPhone X, Samsung Galaxy S8,etc. was also found on the Redmi Note 5 Pro which was launched few days back and sported a Face Unlock feature.

The company's latest and greatest smartphone got the feature through a software update but the smartphone's predecessor and the popular phone in the market i.e., Redmi Note 4 didn't get the feature. So a developer in XDA developers forum took it up to him and ported the Face Unlock feature from Redmi Note 5 Pro to Redmi Note 4.

NOTE: This port works only on Redmi Note 4 devices running on stable MIUI  v9.2.1.0 (MIUI 9) and MIUI Developer Rom v8.2.8 (MIUI 9).

How to get this feature right now?

Its very simple. Just follow the steps below and get the greatest and latest feature on your Redmi Note 4.

1. Download the zip file . Download
2. Flash the zip file using TWRP Recovery. ( No need to clear cache)
3. Reboot the device.

Another innovation by Engineering Students - converting debris into construction materials

The students of Kongu Engineering College, Erode have come up with an innovative idea which can recycle certain waste products into useful products. The idea was demonstrated by the students in a Carbon Zero competition organised by IIT Madras and also won an award for their innovative idea.

Their idea was the recycle the concrete waste generated after the construction and demolition of a building and convert it into construction blocks like hollow or paver blocks. The interesting part in this is that these recycled materials are more durable and strong than the conventional bricks and blocks.

The recycling process 

The waste from the debris is carefully segregated using a simple and economic process and is crushed to produce recycled aggregates of different particle sizes. The crushed material is then mixed with Sodium Silicate, which acts as an agent to reduce porosity, increase the strength and helps the material to bind well . Then the mixture undergoes a carbonation process where C02 is injected into the material at varying pressures. Finally the material is mixed with cement & water to mould them into blocks and then dried to get the final product.

Advantages

This method helps us to convert the waste from construction sites and are made useful thereby saving the environment. Moreover, the CO2 in our environment which is currently at an alarming rate can be used for this process and the Carbon-Dioxide used for this process makes the product more durable and can't be cracked easily which is one of the major drawbacks in the recycled products currently found in the market. Water usage is reduced as the manufacture of materials currently requires water for curing which is not necessary for this process as waster is replaced by Sodium Silicate. 

The government has also granted permission to carry out this process and patents have been filed by the students for the manufacturing process as well as for equipments required for the process.  

Asphalt 9:Legends officially launched on iOS

Asphalt, the popular racing game developed by Gameloft has finally got a refresh as Asphalt 9:Legends hits the App Store after months of rumors. This becomes the #1 app in the iOS App Store soon after its release.

Last week Gameloft launched a trailer for this game and it was stunning in terms of visuals and many more. The app was actually spotted a week before on the App Store before its actual release. The Android version of the game is still under development and currently shows no sign of it to be launched.




The game has a lot of new things to offer starting with 50 different cars from popular and favorite car manufacturers like Ferrari, Lamborghini and Porsche. The game also offers 70 new tracks to play with and also offers a full-fledged career mode with 60 seasons and 800 races.

One of the most greatest and notable change in this new iteration of the game is Touch-based controls instead of the old and classy Tilt-based controls. You'd have to swipe to switch lanes and the acceleration as well as turning is automatic. Steering is also made automatic in this version. However, users can change the steering to manual if they feel that the game is too easy to play.

One of the most disappointing thing in this game is that we can't change the controls to Tilt-based controls which is very hard to accept for users who've been used to it and find the new controls hard to adapt. This is one of the major complaints from the user.

After reading this, you'd have thought to download the game immediately and enjoy a new thrilling racing experience but there's a catch to it as the game is currently launched only on the Phillilpines store.  

New and cheap Macbook Air to be unveiled soon

        Apple products are one of the most liked products by everyone around. Inspite of being costlier on comparing with other products,they have a wide fan base over the Globe. It's all because of its quality it delivers.Day by day it's quality is also getting augmented.The famous product of Apple is it's MacBook Air.It's the most lovable product.

        Many people fell into a conclusion,that production of MacBook Air is on the verge of getting stopped.But,Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo of KGI Securities says that a new model is in development.The company is planning to launch a cheaper version of this model in the second quarter of 2018,he says.

        The Analyst says that the new model will be having a range of features and specifications.The screen size will be around 13 inches.The expected model comes with an 1.8GHz dual-core Intel core i5 processor,128 Gb of internal storage and 8Gb of RAM.

       If the report is correct,this model will be in appearance at Apple's WWDC event in June.It will be launched officially after its appearance.

Xiaomi might be launching Mi TV 4A in India

Xiaomi, the popular Chinese brand for electronics in India has started teasing its new product launch. The product listings on their website shows this but there's no official statement as of now. Since they've already launched the Mi TV 4 in the market, it completely makes sense to launch the TV 4A also in the market.

According to the listings found on Xiaomi's website, the 32 inch variant of the TV is to be priced at Rs. 12,999 whereas the 43 inch variant is to be priced at Rs. 21,999. If this will be the final prices of the products, then there's gonna be a huge demand for this TV in the Indian market.

Mi TV 4A 32''

The 32 inch variant is to sport a 1366 x 768 display with 178 degree viewing angles. It's powered by a quad-core Amlogic processor with 1 GB RAM and 4 GB storage. The TV runs on a custom OS based on Android and as far as connectivity is concerned, it has WiFi, 2x HDMI, 2x USB 2.0 and Ethernet.

Mi TV 4A 43''

The 43 inch variant also has the same specs as compared to the 32 inch variant except the fact that it sports a display with a higher resolution of 1920 x 1080 . It also sports Dolby surround sound with bass boost and DTS. 

Since Xiaomi has already started teasing the product for launch, we might expect the product to launch anytime soon.
