Xiaomi's entry into the Gaming Laptop industry

Xiaomi has given a surprise to its fans by launching the new Mi Gaming Laptop on the recent Mi Mix 2S launch event. This has a design which looks nothing like that of a gaming laptop. However, to get the attention of the gamers out there, it features a backlit keyboard with 4 customizable zones with support upto 16 million colours.



Design


This laptop has an extremely simple design. It has no logo on it and the chassis of the laptop lights p which makes almost everyone go WOW! This laptop is just 20.9 mm thick and sports a 15.6 inch display with narrow bezels.

Features and Specs


This laptop is powered by a 7th Gen Intel Core i7 Processor. It also has an Nvidia GTX 10 series graphics card. The company claims that it features a Dolby Atmos certified Hi-Res Audio. The company also boasts about its high power cooling system with a dedicated hotkey for turbo cooling.with a dedicated hotkey for it.

This laptop also has 5 programmable macro keys which are totally customizable. Xiaomi has demonstrated a fast-food delivery option using the above mentioned macro keys. This is handy if the gamer is unable to find time to eat. Funny one though.

Pricing


This so called gaming laptop will be available in 2 variants where the cheaper one will be featuring a Core i5 7300HQ processor with a GTX 1050 Ti GPU, 8GB RAM and a 128GB SSD.The another variant will  be featuring a Core i7 7700HQ processor, a GTX 1060 GPU, 16GB RAM and a 256 GB SSD. Both the variants will be included with a 1TB HDD for storage purposes.

This laptop will be going on sale from April 13 in China where the low end variant is priced at 5999 RMB (Approx. Rs. 60,000) and the high end variant is priced at 8999 RMB(Approx. Rs. 90,000).
