Everyone loves shopping. But the most irritating part of it is to stand in queues for getting our items billed. It usually takes a lot of time when we go for shopping especially during the weekends. But now things have completely been changed in this store in Seattle.
This store is run by the famous company Amazon and this store is called as Amazon Go store. The special feature of this store is there are no cashiers to bill the products that we've bought from the store.
There are certain requirements which a shopper must have to shop items from this store. A recent smartphone, Amazon GO app and an Amazon account. To enter the shop the person has to open the app and show the code displayed on the screen to the gate so that the gate opens.
The moment a person enters the shop Amazon easily tracks your movements. When you pick an item from the shelf, its added to a virtual shopping cart. The store knows that you've picked that particular item from the shelf. This is possible using the cameras and sensors that are present all over the store.
At last when you've finished shopping, you can either take the bags provided in the store to keep your items or you may also keep the items purchased even in your pocket or in your hand. When you've stepped out of the store, a push notification comes to your mobile giving you the receipt for the items that you've purchased.
Even though the store is cashier-free, there are some employees present in the store for certain purposes like re-stocking the items in the shelves, checking ID for those who buy alcohol, answering the customers' questions, etc.
Anyway this is an amazing concept and has got a warm welcome as people from various parts of the world come for the sole purpose of visiting this store. Hope this store comes to our country too.
