Apple releases iOS and macOS updates to patch spectre chip vulnerabilities

A lot of talks about the spectre and meltdown vulnerabilities have been going around the internet for a while and now all tech giants have started sending out updates to patch these vulnerabilities.

Apple has recently sent out an update to patch these flaws in their devices namely, iOS 11.2.2 and macOS 10.13.2. for their devices. These updates patches the safari web browser so that hackers can't take advantage of this chip flaws using the web browser.

All other tech giants like Microsoft have also been sending out updates to patch their OSes in order to protect their users from these vulnerabilities.

Last week Google and two other major security researchers disclosed two major chip flaws namely Meltdown and Spectre where the former only affects Intel CPUs and the latter leaves all the computing devices vulnerable to hackers using which they could steal highly confidential data like passwords, banking information and other highly important data.

After this information went public the shares of Intel dropped down a lot every tech giant has been trying a lot to fix this issue.
