Vivo to launch smartphone with Under Display Fingerprint Scanner on Jan 10

Vivo Under-display Fingerprint Sensor

In today's world of bezel-less smartphones, Chinese smartphone maker Vivo  has already shown its prototype of a smartphone with under display fingerprint scanner. Now they have officially announced that they will be launching this device on January 10 at Consumer Electronics Show(CES).

Last week in 3C certirfication there was a new device registered under the name Vivo X20 Plus UD. It's believed that the UD in the model name is supposed to mean Under Display. The device is supposed to have the same specs as that of the X20 Plus with a 6.49 inch infinity display with 18:9 aspect ratio, 4/6 GB RAM, 3905 mAh battery and Snapdragon 660 Processor.

The technology used for the fingerprint scanner is called as Synaptics clear ID and is a very safe. This is supposed to work even when the fingers are wet and cold. This is believed to be highly durable and secure as it comes with AES encryption.

Here's a video of Vivo's demonstration of the technology with its prototype.

Hope you guys are as excited to see this as I am.
