Third party displays on iPhones disabled on iOS 11.3

The recent update for iOS was released by Apple and included a lot of new changes in it which made my iPhone & iPad work so blazing fast since the first update of iOS 11. But reports coming up recently saying that many users are facing issues with their displays after the update.

According to the reports, the displays turn on fine but the touch input is totally not recognized by the phone. This makes the phone completely useless. After analyzing the reports from users, it is found that this problem is occurring only for the users who've replaced their iPhone's displays with a 3rd party display vendor. This is something that Apple doesn't recommend and users who've done so have voided their warranty. Users go to third party displays because getting their displays replaced by Apple is too expensive.

Since this issue has come up, 3rd party vendors have found a workaround to solve this problem. Here the issue is with the dedicated microchip which controls the touch input signals which is not supporting the 3rd party displays. So there is a way to get that microchip replaced. But that's also a pricey one. There is no confirmation that whether the above method is possible or not.

Till now Apple hasn't said anything about this issue and there's no idea whether Apple is intending to fix this issue with an update or not. But the same kind of issue happened with 3rd party displays earlier and was fixed by Apple in iOS 11.0.3. So there's still hope that this issue might be fixed.
