Popular telecom giant Jio has announced that it's planned to deploy Pre-5G network in some of the IPL venues during this season. This Pre-5G is also known as Advanced 4G MIMO. This technology helps all the users in the IPL stadiums to experience super-fast internet.
This so called Pre-5G can be experienced in Mumbai's Wankhede Stadium & Delhi's Feroz Shah Kotla Stadium. Users can experience it only during the IPL season in the above mentioned stadiums only.
The Pre-5G technology is implemented using a massive array of MIMOs (Multiple-Input Multiple-Output), 4G eNodes and several WiFi cells to create a wide and strong network. This technology provides 5 times the capacity of a 30MHz wide band spectrum in order to provide a strong and wide network coverage especially in crowded areas like a stadium.
Airtel has also announced the deployment of massive MIMOs in the Wankhede stadium. It has also announced that it'll soon be implementing this technology in other IPL venues in Bangalore, Jaipur, Mohali and many more.
